THRISSUR: BJP state office secretary G Gireesh informed the police that the party has no connection with the accused in the Kodakara hawala money heist. He was interrogated for nearly ten and a half hours at the police club. During the interrogation, Gireesh maintained that the party had nothing to do with the money mentioned in the complaint filed by Dharmarajan.

Meanwhile, the police may soon summon the BJP Thrissur district office secretary after a hotel employee informed that it was the BJP district office that had booked a room for the group with the money.

When questioned yesterday, M Ganesan, general secretary of the organization, also said that the BJP was not involved in the deal. However, businessman Dharmarajan, who is also an RSS activist, had told the probe team that the two were involved in the deal. Both were summoned on that basis. The probe team has informed Gireesh that he will be called back if necessary.

The probe team's move is to call them one more time and question them all together after collecting evidence.
