THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Legislative Assembly will pass a resolution tomorrow expressing solidarity to the residents of Lakshadweep. The chief minister will present the official resolution tomorrow. The opposition will also support the special resolution under Rule 118.

The state will announce solidarity to the islanders' protest against the reforms of administrator Praful Khoda Patel. The resolution will demand an immediate resolution on the concerns of the island people and withdrawal of the controversial reforms.

There will be no question hour this week. If the opposition moves an adjournment motion, then it would be the first step tomorrow. After that will be the Lakshadweep resolution. If there is no adjournment motion, the proceedings will begin with the resolution.

The Youth Congress had come forward demanding the assembly to pass a resolution in solidarity with the struggles of the people of Lakshadweep. Youth Congress state president Shafi Parampil MLA wrote a letter to the speaker, the chief minister and the opposition leader in this regard.
