KOCHI: Ravi Pujari, the accused in the Kochi beauty parlour shooting case and the underworld criminal, will be brought to Kochi by the Crime Branch within two days. He will be taken into custody today from Bangalore Parappana Agrahara jail. A special team of the Crime Branch central unit has arrived in Bangalore for this purpose. The Ernakulam Additional CJM Court yesterday ordered to hand him over to police custody till June 8 on the basis of an earlier arrest warrant. Ravi Pujari is being brought to Kochi with utmost security.
Attempts to bring him to Kochi on March 8 were unsuccessful as he had been taken into custody by the Mumbai police.
On December 15, 2018, a two-member team opened fire on a beauty parlour called 'Nail Artistry' run by actress Leena Maria Paul in Kadavanthara, Ernakulam. During interrogation, Ravi Pujari had revealed that he had given a 'quotation'( slang for contract to goons) to threaten Leena and extort money.
