FORT KOCHI: In a heartwarming incident, Nasreen, a class 4 student, who got her lost mobile phone back, expressed her happiness by handing over the new phone gifted by Mattancherry Police Asst Commissioner G.D. Vijayakumar to another child. Earlier, Vijayakumar had gifted Nasreen a new mobile after she informed the police station that she was unable to attend online class since she lost her mobile.

The phone was recovered from Kochi yesterday during the investigation by the Fort Kochi police. The person who got the phone sold it to someone else for Rs 3,000.

When the policemen came to return the phone to Nasreen, she said, "Sir, I do not need two phones, give one to any poor student." Following this, Nasreen handed over the new phone directly to Naufia, an eighth standard student of Mattancherry TD School, on the instructions of the police.
