KOZHIKODE: The BJP has no connection in the Kodakara hawala case, said party state chief K Surendran. The black money of parties including Congress, CPM and the Muslim League has been seized from Kerala. Black money worth Rs 1,000 crore was seized in the country. The highest amount was seized from Tamil Nadu. The DMK gave Rs 25 crore to the CPM. Surendran asks Pinarayi to clarify whether it was black or white money.

The CPM is trying to create a smokescreen. Simply calling BJP leaders for interrogation. Lies are spreading in the state. BJP leaders who got the notice were very cooperative. No one had mentioned chest pain or Covid positive, he said.

The BJP is cooperative with the probe. There is no truth in the news surfacing. They are just concocting news. The BJP welcomes any probe. Why is the police not able to find the remaining amount in the case, asked Surendran.

The CPM and the Congress had spent crores for the elections. The CPM spent more than Rs 200 crore for PR work alone. The chief minister has gone out of the way and given money to many medias. If the media carries false propaganda against the party, it will be dealt politically. Surendran asked the media who writes false news to remember that there is a legal system in this country.

The CPM has no right to say the BJP spent crores. Writing and speaking need the backing of facts. Has any journalist exposed a court record or a police record in this case?

League and CPM activists are among the accused arrested. The CPM has a bad political interest. C K Janu has neither asked me money nor have I given it. Things in Sultan Bathery constituency happened in a systematic manner. I don’t remember about the phone conversation. A lot of calls came during election time, he said.

Should not insult C K Janu who worked for the upliftment of the adivasis. It is not a big deal nowadays to make an audio clip and to cut the necessary portions of it. I have not given a single penny to C K Janu. I am not saying that Praseeda had not called Azhikode, he said.
