The video of Brahmadathan paying last respect to the mahout who treated him as a son has gone viral on social media.
Thousands of people have liked and shared this video in just two hours after uploading. The video has received thousands of comments. Brahmadathan, who came to see the mortal remains of Omanachettan, stared at his beloved mahout for a while. Then Rajesh, the son of Omanachettan, came and cried holding the horn of Brahmadattan. Before leaving, Brahmadattan once again looked at Omanachettan and bowed with his trunk. Seeing this, the grief inside the relatives came out crying. Those who saw it also shed tears.
Omanachettan, who was a mahout for 60 years, was with Brahmadathan for more than 24 years. The elephant was known as Puthuppally Brahmadathan is now under the ownership of Pallattu Rajesg Manoj hailing from Bharananganam in Pala. From there, Brahmadathan reached Kuroppada. Elephant lovers say that there is no other elephant and mahout that are so harmonious. Even in his old age, he did not leave Brahmadattan. Omanachettan, also known as Ashan, continued to look after the tusker until he fell ill.
