KASARAGOD: K Sundara told the probe team that the money was given to withdraw the nomination papers by a person closely associated with the BJP state president. He told that Sunil Naik, a close associate of Surendran, came and paid the money.
Police said they received a statement validating the disclosure that the money had been paid. Evidence has been received that Sunil Naik had visited Sundara's house. The photos of Sunil Naik with Sundara have surfaced. Sundara's statement in the case has been completed.
Sunil Naik is the former state treasurer of Yuva Morcha. On March 21, Sunil Naik posted a Facebook post. The post said that Sundara had left the BSP and would work for K Surendran in Manjeswaram. Sundara has given a statement confirming these things.
