KOCHI: Actress Leena Maria Paul's statement in the Beauty ParloUr shooting case was recorded by the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) via video conference yesterday. Leena also recognized the voice of Ravi Pujari, the gangster in the custody of the Kerala Police. Leena told the police that it was the same person who called her on the phone and demanded money.

The recording of the statement lasted for about an hour. Police declined to reveal Leena's whereabouts. Leena repeated the same statements which she had made earlier. She denied Pujari's allegations that she had hawala money. This is the third time Leena has been questioned.

Pujari has been in the custody of the ATS for four days. Today, his voice samples will be submitted to the court for permission and sent for scientific examination. The police have decided to question Ravi Pujari and the other accused arrested in the case together through video conference.

Leena's secrets

According to Ravi Pujari, Leena and her partner Sukesh Chandrasekhar obtained hawala money by cheating several people. Pujari intended to extort Rs 25 crore from this.

Leena's first statement is that she is estranged from Sukesh. Both were in Kochi before the incident. He stayed with Leena at a private resort for 29 days under the protection of the Delhi Police.

Three people from Kochi had booked a room for the boss. It was Sukesh who stayed in the room. The resort manager told police that several people had come to see him. Who are these?
