THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM leader MM Mani has ridiculed the central government in the situation where petrol price has crossed 100 in the state. On Facebook, Mani posted a picture of a petrol pump adorned with flowers and balloons with a sarcastic caption 'Celebrate, celebrate ... Acha Din Aagaya'.

In many districts, the price of premium petrol has crossed Rs 100. In Thiruvananthapuram city the price is Rs 100.20 per liter, in Parassala Rs 101.14 and in Wayanad's Bathery it is Rs 100.24. Normal petrol and diesel prices have been hiked by 28 paise each.

In Thiruvananthapuram, petrol is currently priced at Rs 97.29 per litre and diesel at Rs 92.63 per liter. In Kochi, petrol is priced at Rs 95.41 per liter and diesel at Rs 90.86 per liter. This is the second day in a row that prices have risen.
