THRISSUR: Dharmarajan, the person who filed the complaint in the Kodakara heist case, said that stolen money belonged to him and Sunil Naik. This was stated in a petition filed by Dharmarajan, Sunil Naik, and Shamseer to get back the money and vehicle recovered by the police. They had filed a petition in the Irinjalakuda First Class Magistrate's Court seeking the money recovered from the robbers.

They had filed a petition in the court along with documents to get back Rs 1.40 crore recovered from the car. According to Dharmarajan's application, the money was paid by a Marwari called Govind from Delhi in connection with a business deal. Dharmarajan stated that his responsibility was to transfer the money given by the Marwari for business purposes from Kozhikode to Ernakulam.

Dharmarajan has stated that the money in the vehicle has nothing to do with the BJP. With this, the police investigating the BJP connection of money will have to pay attention to the current developments. With Dharmarajan's plea, the BJP leaders will have an opportunity to defend themselves against the political allegations that it was the BJP's election fund.
