KOCHI: The beauty parlour shooting was planned and carried out by Ravi Pujari from Senegal, an African country. He carried out such schemes across the country with the help of criminal gangs while investigating agencies were seeking the help of Interpol to nab him.

The Senegal connection was mentioned in the report submitted by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in the Ernakulam CJM court. The report does not contain information on the other accused. Pujari is the third accused in the case.

ATS sources told Kerala Kaumudi that there was no connection between the complainant Leena Maria Paul and the accused. Pujari's only aim was to snatch the hawala money that reached Leena's hands.

The ATS now needs to know how many accused are there between the third accused Ravi Pujari and the fifth accused Nizam Salim in the beauty parlor case and their connection with the case. They are examining the financial transactions and meetings of the accused. Ravi Pujari himself had revealed that more people were involved in the case. The ATS is monitoring the dealings of Jia (Zia) from Kasargod, Monayi, Dr.Ajaz, and a goon from Perumbavoor. interventions of and Perumbavoor goons.

Ravi Pujari, who is also an accused in the case in which Bevinje native MT Muhammad Kunhi was threatened and attacked, will be taken into custody by the ATS later. Pujari was also questioned in this case.

Pujari entered Africa after he was declared a criminal. He had been hiding in African countries such as Guinea, Ivory Coast, Senegal, and Burkina Faso. He has a hotel chain in these places. He lived with his wife and children under the name of Anthony Fernandes. He was arrested at a barbershop in Dakar, the capital of Senegal.
