​​​​PALAKKAD: Parents of Rehman, who secretly lodged her lover in his house for 10 years, had rejected their son’s claims. His parents Muhammed Kareem and Attika have said that their son was suffering from certain psychological problems and there is no element of truth in his claims.

Parents say that the window through which Sajitha used to get outside at night was removed just three months ago. “Rehman’s room was separated by a partial wall. If anyone was there other than him, we might have known that much before. The roof of the home was rebuilt three years ago, During that time Rehman’s niece and myself had entered into the room,” his father Muhammed Kareem said.

“There was not even a bed in that room. Only a small tepoy was there. Rehman has said that Sajitha has hidden inside this small tepoy. Sajitha might have been lodged somewhere else for years,” Rehman’s parents said. Whereas the couples continue on their earlier stand, they lived in the house for the last 10 years.

Kerala was shocked to hear the news of Rehman, a native of Ayiloor, in Nenmara Palakkad, hiding his lover in his home, in his own room for the last 10 years. Rehman has done this by making special arrangements in his room after distancing his relatives from ever stepping into his room. The state women’s commission had taken a suo motu case on this issue.
