COPENHAGEN: Denmark's Christian Eriksen has collapsed during Denmarkâs Euro 2020 match against Finland.
The referee stopped the game after the Danish midfielder fell to the ground in the first half.
Paramedics were seen resuscitating Eriksen on the pitch while his teammates shielded him from the view of the cameras.
Eriksen, who plays for Inter Milan, was eventually taken away on a stretcher, and the match was suspended.
UEFA later issued a statement on their social media handle that the player was taken to a hospital and stabilized.

Following the medical emergency involving Denmark's player Christian Eriksen, a crisis meeting has taken place with both teams and match officials and further information will be communicated at 19:45 CET.
The player has been transferred to the hospital and has been stabilised.
