THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Silver Line project billed as the game-changer to the development dreams of Kerala and giving a huge boost to the railway sector is coming to reality. The state government sees the project as their top plan. The total length of the high-speed lane is 530.6 km. It takes about four hours to travel from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod. There are a total of 11 stations.

The biggest attraction of the high-speed rail corridor is that it takes an hour and a half to reach Ernakulam from Thiruvananthapuram. The electric multiple unit which can seat 675 people in a train will have nine coaches. The trains can travel at the speed of up to 200 kilometres per hour.
