THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 12,787 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 11,992 persons developed the disease through contact, including 675 cases without an identified source of infection. 55 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 65 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

13,683 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 99,390 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 150 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 12,445.

Ernakulam 1706, Thiruvananthapuram 1501, Malappuram 1321, Palakkad 1315, Kollam 1230, Thrissur 1210, Kozhikode 893, Alappuzha 815, Kannur 607, Kasargod 590, Kottayam 547, Pathanamthitta 427, Idukki 314, Wayanad 311.

1,24,326 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 10.29.
