KOLLAM: One body of two women reported missing after summoned for interrogation in connection with the incident of abandoning a new born baby in a pile of dry leaves in Kollam, has been found. The body of Arya (23) a native of Uriyacode was found today. She is related to Reshma arrested in the case. A search is on for their relative Greeshma. Husbands of Arya and Reshma are brothers.

Reshma was arrested the other day for abandoning her new born baby. As part of an investigation, the women were asked to appear for interrogation as the police believed that more people are involved in it.

The SIM card used by Reshma was in Arya’s name. She used this card to log into Facebook. Her statement is that she killed the baby as per the directive of the youth whom she had never seen. In order to seek more details, the women were summoned.

They were asked to appear on Thursday at 3 pm. However, they did not appear. When the police came in search of them, they were found missing. On examining the CCTV, the women were found walking towards the Ithikara River. In a search by the fire force and the police, the body of Arya was found.
