THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There will be no further lockdown concessions in the state. Existing restrictions will remain in place. The decision was taken at a review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister. The decision was made in the event that the TPR does not decrease.
The churches had demanded that churches be allowed exemptions for Sunday prayers. But due to weekend lockdown, it was decided not to grant permission for it, and permission for 15 people in places of worship would remain.
A meeting on Tuesday may decide whether to relax the curbs. The TPR has remained above 10 for the last eight days except for Monday this week. Existing restrictions are likely to remain in place until the TPR in the state falls below eight per cent.
