NEW DELHI: The country has been hit hard by the devastating delta viruses that caused the second Covid wave in India. Delta was able to spread the disease much faster than the first wave. As the country recovers from the threat of a second wave, delta plus, which has undergone a transformation to delta viruses, poses a new challenge. While there are arguments that the delta plus virus may or may not cause a third wave, doctors are warning of rapidly changing corona viruses.
The rapid transformation of corona viruses has made it impossible to control the epidemic. Doctors are warning that a rapidly changing cocktail wave is looming over the country. This concern is based on the discovery of four more corona virus variants in Uttar Pradesh in addition to the delta plus variant. Experts say the possibility for a 'cocktail infection wave' cannot be ruled out because of these variants.
While the delta variants are repeated in India, the 'Lambda' variant is spreading in foreign countries. This variant is extremely dangerous. Once it enters the body, it can quickly neutralize antibodies. Experts warn the government not to allow flights to foreign countries. So far no case of Lambda variant has been reported in India.
