THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 12,868 COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Among these, 12,112 persons developed the disease through contact, including 643 cases without an identified source of infection. 50 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 63 health workers contracted the disease on Thursday.

11,564 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,02,058 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 124 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 13,359.

Malappuram 1561, Kozhikode 1381, Thiruvananthapuram 1341, Thrissur 1304, Kollam 1186, Ernakulam 1153, Palakkad 1050, Alappuzha 832, Kannur 766, Kasaragod 765, Kottayam 504, Pathanamthitta 398, Idukki 361, Wayanad 266.

1,24,886 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 10.3.
