BENGALURU: The government of Karnataka has come up with strict restrictions on those coming from Kerala. The government has announced that people coming from Kerala should either produce a negative RT-PCR certificate not older than 72 hours or a certificate of receiving both doses of the Covid vaccine. Those who produce the certificate of receiving two doses of the vaccine would not have to produce an RT-PCR test result. An order has been issued in this regard.
Inspection will be intensified at check posts in the Kerala-Karnataka border districts of Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, and Chamrajanagara. Students and traders who come to the state from time to time should undergo RT-PCR tests every two weeks.
Exemption will be given only to health workers, children below two years of age and those who come for death / medical needs. Those who violate the rules will be prosecuted under the Disaster Management Act.
