KANNUR: Arjun Ayanki, accused in Karipur gold smuggling case, has been brought to Kannur for collecting evidence. He has been brought to the Customs office. He will be taken to his house in Azhikode and the place where the car was hidden.

Arjun Ayanki told the Customs officials that he was helped by the Kodi Suni and Shafi, the accused in the TP Chandrasekharan murder case, to steal the smuggled gold and go into hiding. He also told the officials that both Kodi Suni and Shafi were rewarded for the help.

Kodi Suni and Shafi will be questioned by customs on the basis of Arjun's statement. Meanwhile, the probe team arrested six more persons from Koduvally in the Karipur gold smuggling case.
