KOZHIKODE: INL state secretariat member E C Muhammad accused the party of selling PSC membership after accepting a bribe of Rs 40 lakh. He alleged that this decision was taken at the party’s state secretariat meet and the first instalment of Rs 20 lakh was accepted from Abdul Samad. The remaining Rs 20 lakh would be taken from the salary after getting the membership.
However, the INL state leadership rejected the allegation of E C Muhammed. AP Abdul Wahab, the party's state president said the allegation is false and shocking.
Meantime, indications are that the allegation is due to factionalism in the party. Abdul Wahab said the party has freedom of expression and the rebels have the right to revive the national secular conference. Abdul Wahab said the party does not have an infallibility leadership and that the party should move forward together after discussing differences.
