KOLLAM: The Sasthamcotta First Class Judicial Magistrate Court rejected the bail plea of Kiran Kumar, husband of Vismaya, a medical student who committed suicide. Kiran, who has been diagnosed with Covid-19 is lodged in Neyyatinkara sub jail. The police will get him into custody after he recovers from the disease.

Advocate B A Aloor appeared for Kiran. While seeking bail for Kiran Kumar, he told the court that Kiran is a poor man and that the case was fabricated by the police. Aloor also claimed that Vismaya may have committed suicide for some other reason.

The prosecution strongly opposed his bail plea. Assistant public prosecutor informed the court that the case will be badly affected if bail is granted to him. The investigating team has decided to file the charge sheet in 90 days.
