THRISSUR: A decision has been taken to tighten restrictions in Guruvayur temple as the transmission of Covid-19 continues. It has been decided to impose restrictions on those who have booked online to visit the temple from tomorrow. Authorities said the number of visitors would be restricted daily.

Devaswom staff and locals will not be permitted to visit the temple. Restrictions will also be imposed on marriages. No new wedding bookings will be taken until further notice. However, marriages of those who have booked in advance will be permitted. The restrictions were imposed as the test positivity rate is 12.58 per cent in Guruvayur municipality.
