KOCHI: The NIA court will record the statement of Sarith, the accused in the gold smuggling case, today. Sarith was asked to appear before the court today after he alleged that he was constantly threatened in jail and forced to say names of various political leaders.

It is learnt that Sarith will be produced in the NIA court by noon. He told his mother and sister that he had received threats from the jail authorities to say the names of BJP and Congress leaders. Sarith's mother has also approached Customs with the same complaint.
