CHALAKKUDY: A mother and daughter hailing from Potta in Chalakudy were killed in a road accident in Australia. The deceased were identified as Lotsi, 35, wife of Bibin of Chulliyadan in Potta in Periyachira, and her six-year-old daughter Katelyn Rose Bibin, Bibin, 40, and other children Chris Bibin, 9, and Cayden Bibin, 2, were hospitalized with injuries.

The accident happened on Thursday morning when Bibin and her family were on their way to Queen Stand from Wales. Lotsi, who got a job as a nurse at Queen Stand Hospital, was on her way to admission. The car they were traveling in collided with an oncoming truck. Lotsi, who worked at the Orange Hospital in Wales, moved to Australia last year. She is the daughter of Jose and Alphonsa from Elinjipra.
