THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The six-member central team who came to observe the transmission of Covid in Kerala has handed over the preliminary report to the health ministry. The expert team’s assessment is that the spread of the disease was not due to the easing of curbs during Bakri but the lapse in home isolation.
Covid patients with no serious symptoms in the state are being treated at home. The main reason cited for the spread of the disease is the lapse of home quarantine of patients.
The central team found that some under observation in homes come in close contact with other inmates of the house. The six-member team prepared the report after visiting various districts in Kerala.
