KOCHI: An 18-year-old girl died after falling from a flat in Ernakulam South. She has been identified as Irine Roy, daughter of Roy of Shanthi Thottakkat Estate.

The incident happened when she was on workout with her brother on the terrace of the tenth floor flat. She fell on to the sheet of the eighth floor and then fell down on the ground.

Although she was rushed to the Ernakulam Medical Trust Hospital, her life could not be saved. The family hailing from Chalakudy shifted to the flat in January.
