THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 22,040 COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Among these, 20,901 persons developed the disease through contact, including 996 cases without an identified source of infection. 67 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 76 health workers contracted the disease on Thursday.

20,046 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,77,924 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 117 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 17,328.

Malappuram 3645, Thrissur 2921, Kozhikode 2406, Ernakulam 2373, Palakkad 2139, Kollam 1547, Alappuzha 1240, Kannur 1142, Thiruvananthapuram 1119, Kottayam 1077, Kasargod 685, Wayanad 676, Pathanamthitta 536, Idukki 534.

1,63,376 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 13.49.
