KOZHIKODE: Mueen Ali, son of Hyder Ali Shihab, who had sharply criticized PK Kunhalikutty at a press conference in connection with the Chandrika fund scam, has been threatened by a League activist. In the middle of the press conference, league activist Rafi Puthiyakadavu threatened him. Rafi was outraged by the criticism leveled against Kunhalikutty. "Do not blame Kunhalikutty and the party. You come out and play", Rafi challenged Mueen.

"You don't have to say more. I'm not in your house. He is blaming Kunhalikutty. Do not blame the party. Come out and play. He is blaming the party. Useless'', Rafi said. Following this, others persuaded him and took him out.

At the press conference, Mueen Ali levelled major criticisms against Kunhalikutty. He said Kunhalikutty never intervened in the crisis over Chandrika newspaper and had managed the fund for four decades.

"Sameer, the finance manager, was appointed by Kunhalikutty. Ali also accused the party of being reduced to one person. There has never been such an incident in the history of the Panakkad family. Hyder Ali is under severe mental stress", Mueen Ali said.
