PALAKKAD: Senior Congress leader K Sankaranarayanan has revealed that AK Antony's own group was behind his removal from the post of Chief Minister. Sankaranarayanan openly wrote about this in his autobiography Anupamam Jeevitham. The autobiography also contains allegations against former Chief Minister K Karunakaran.

According to the autobiography, the removal of Antony from the post of Chief Minister was a ploy by some who were unable to exert much influence in the administration. Karunakaran was helped by a move from within Group A.

It is alleged that he had face an unexpected impact after showcasing courage to question Karunakaran's superiority within the party. According to Sankaranarayanan, Karunakaran had hampered his chance to contest the Lok Sabha elections in Thrissur, which took place after the death of Indira Gandhi.

In his autobiography, he revealed that his unfulfilled desire was to become the Chief Minister. Sankaranarayanan believes that it would have happened if he had tried sincerely.
