THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An emergency meeting chaired by Minister Veena George assessed that the state is witnessing a severe vaccine shortage. Very few vaccines are in stock now. The Centre has announced that the vaccine will arrive on the 11th.

"Many vaccination centers were closed on Tuesday due to a shortage of vaccines. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Wayanad districts have run out of vaccines. The vaccines will be fully dispensed from centers that have vaccines in stock. The Union Ministry of Health has been informed about this. The Centre should make more vaccines available to the state as soon as possible," the minister said.

The Minister directed to strengthen the vaccination campaign launched in the state as soon as the vaccine becomes available. The aim of this campaign is to increase vaccination and vaccinate as many people as possible.
