THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 21,119 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. Among these, 20,027 persons developed the disease through contact, including 941 cases without an identified source of infection. 40 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 111 health workers contracted the disease on Tuesday.

18,493 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,71,985 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 152 deaths due to the virus on Tuesday with the toll rising to 18,004.

Malappuram 3603, Ernakulam 2539, Kozhikode 2335, Thrissur 2231, Palakkad 1841, Kollam 1637, Kottayam 1245, Alappuzha 1230, Kannur 1091, Thiruvananthapuram 1040, Wayanad 723, Pathanamthitta 686, Kasargod 536, Idukki 382.

1,32,769 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 15.91.
