THODUPUZHA: Unable to bear financial difficulties, a youth hanged himself after sharing his birthday and death date on Facebook. The deceased has been identified as Adimali native Deepu (34). He was found hanging inside his rented house in Thodupuzha. He was found dead by his relatives who reached the spot after seeing his Facebook post.

He was running a barbershop at Karimannur High School Junction. Deepu, who was initially employed here, later took over the barbershop. It is reported that he had lost income due to the lockdown and incurred huge debts. According to the Thodupuzha police, the reason for the suicide was financial liabilities. The body was handed over to relatives after postmortem.
