KOZHIKODE: Synthetic drugs were seized from a lodge on Mavoor Road. Eight people were arrested in the incident. Among those arrested was a young woman. All are from Kozhikode. The drugs were seized during a police check based on confidential information.

The eight-member team led by Arshad, a native of Kozhikode Kuttikattur, had been staying in a lodge for three days. The group stayed in four rooms. Police said all those arrested had used drugs.

Police also seized 500 grams of hashish oil and six grams of MDMA from the suspects.
