THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 21,445 COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Among these, 20,316 persons developed the disease through contact, including 945 cases without an identified source of infection. 73 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 111 health workers contracted the disease on Thursday.

20,723 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,76,518 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 160 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 18,280.

Malappuram 3300, Kozhikode 2534, Thrissur 2465, Ernakulam 2425, Palakkad 2168, Kollam 1339, Kannur 1338, Alappuzha 1238, Kottayam 1188, Thiruvananthapuram 933, Wayanad 720, Pathanamthitta 630, Idukki 589, Kasargod 578.

1,45,582 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 14.73.
