NEW DELHI: A complaint has been lodged against two Kerala MPs over incidents that took place in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. Two Rajya Sabha marshals have lodged a complaint against Elamaram Kareem with the Rajya Sabha Speaker. The marshals have also mentioned the name of Binoy Viswam. It is alleged that Elamaram Kareem grabbed the marshals by the neck.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla met Rajya Sabha Speaker Venkaiah Naidu amid serious allegations. The meeting came as both sides demanded action.

The Opposition had lodged a complaint with the Speaker against the manner in which the Insurance Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha yesterday. The government responded by releasing footage of opposition MPs clashing with marshals.
