MALAPPURAM: K T Jaleel MLA levelled serious allegations against Muslim League leader P K Kunhalikutty again. He alleged that Kunhalikutty has black money investment of more than Rs 300 crore. The black money is deposited in the name of many at the Malappuram A R Nagar Cooperative Bank.
This is the corrupted money Kunhalikutty made during his tenure as a minister. It is estimated that black money deposits of Rs 600 crore is in A R Nagar Bank. Jaleel alleged that these black money deposits were the main reason why many co-operative banks controlled by the League in Malappuram refused to join Kerala Bank.
Black money of Rs 80 lakh was deposited in the name of Anganwadi teacher Devi. She came to know about it when she received the notice of ED. Harikumar, an official of the A R Nagar Bank is the custodian of Kunhalikutty’s black money. After the scam came to light, Harikumar tried to contact the Anganwadi teacher many times over the phone. Jaleel said there is a possibility of endangering Harikumar when the truth comes out.
