WAYANAD: Forest Section Officer BP Raju has been suspended for abusing his official position by aiding the accused in the Muttil tree felling case. Kannur Chief Forest Conservator DK Vinod Kumar issued the order. He was found guilty of disobeying the instructions of the Range Forest Officer and taking a favorable position towards the accused. In his report, the Chief Forest Conservator stated that there was a serious disciplinary violation on Raju's part. Raju had spoken to Roji Augustine 64 times and Anto Augustine 42 times over the phone. Disciplinary action was recommended following this.
