KOTTAYAM: A necklace has gone missing from the Thiruvabharanam (sacred jewellery) in the Ettumanoor Shiva temple. It is learnt that a Rudraksha necklace tied with gold has gone missing. The necklace was found to be missing during an inspection that was conducted after new melshanthi Padmanabhan Santosh took over.

Devaswom Vigilance has launched an investigation into the incident. There is no exact information about the weight of the necklace.

There are reports that another unaccounted necklace was found among the sacred jewellery. Padmanabhan Santosh took over as the new melshanthi last month.
