KOZHIKODE: In a major gold haul, gold worth around Rs 1.22 crore was seized from two passengers at the Karipur airport. The gold, weighing 2.545 kg, was seized from a Thirunavaya native and a Tirur native who came from Sharjah in an Air Arabia flight.

1.48 kg of gold was seized from the arrested Thirunavaya resident. He tried to smuggle the gold inside his body and in a secret compartment in his pants.
