THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CM’s office has sought a report on the move to appoint last-grade employees in the PRD to information officers. It was alleged that some PRD officials had tried to amend the special rule and appoint last grade employees to the post. It was after this that the Chief Minister sought a report on the incident.

The PRD replied to the Public Administration Department that only a draft of the special rule amendment had been prepared. The reply was given by the Additional Director on behalf of the PRD Director.
