ALAPPUZHA: AM Arif MP said that the letter that was handed over to minister Mohammad Riyaz requesting an inquiry into the reconstruction of the National Highway when G Sudhakaran was the Public Works Minister was misinterpreted. Arif said that the letter was handed over to the minister with good intentions.
While stating that G Sudhakaran was an honest minister, Arif added that he had not stated that there was corruption in the road renovation. He had stated in the letter that the road, which was built with a three-year guarantee, was of poor quality and that there were several potholes in the road.
"Received a letter from AM Arif. The MP has filed a written complaint seeking a vigilance inquiry. The letter was handed over to the Center with instructions," said Public Works Minister Mohammad Riyaz.
