THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 18,582 COVID-19 cases on Sunday. Among these, 17,626 persons developed the disease through contact, including 747 cases without an identified source of infection. 141 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 68 health workers contracted the disease on Sunday.

20,089 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,78,630 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 102 deaths due to the virus on Sunday with the toll rising to 18,601.

Malappuram 2681, Thrissur 2423, Kozhikode 2368, Ernakulam 2161, Palakkad 1771, Kannur 1257, Kollam 1093, Alappuzha 941, Kottayam 929, Thiruvananthapuram 927, Idukki 598, Pathanamthitta 517, Wayanad 497, Kasargod 419.

1,22,970 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 15.11.
