THRISSUR: In a tragic incident, a man was killed after a flying peacock crashed into his bike. The deceased has been identified as Punnayoorkulam native Pramosh (34). The accident took place near the beverages outlet at Panchikkal by around 9 am when Pramosh was travelling with his wife. His wife Veena (26) suffered serious injuries.

The flying peacock hit Promosh's chest and bike. Following this, the bike went out of control and crashed into a nearby wall. Though Pramosh was rushed to a private hospital at Punkunnam, he could not be saved. He was an employee of the recovery section of a private bank in Thrissur.

Meanwhile, another bike passenger was also injured after being hit by the peacock. Vadanapilly Dhanesh (37) was going for painting work when he met with the accident. Both Veena and Dhanesh are undergoing treatment at the private hospital.

Veena is an employee of a private company in Ernakulam. The accident happened when the two were on their way to work in the morning. Pramosh got married to Veena just four months ago.

Pramosh's body was handed over to the relatives after post mortem. The funeral will take place today.

The peacock that caused the accident died. Peacock's body was received by Forest Department officials.
