KANNUR: The NIA has revealed that the women arrested in Kannur in the case of campaigning for ISIS in India through social media had planned to join ISIS. The NIA said that the women had close ties to ISIS.

Kannur natives Shifa Harris and Misha Siddique were arrested by NIA on Tuesday morning. The agency said that Misha Siddique had once reached Tehran on her way to Syria. It was Misha who brought Mushab Anwar and Shifa Harris closer to ISIS. Misha had also sent money to some allies in Kashmir for ISIS operations. According to the NIA, Shifa Harris had planned to go to Kashmir.

A group of seven Malayalees had planned to go to Kashmir for terrorist activities. The NIA team from Delhi secretly arrested Shifa Harris and Mishha Siddique from a house at Thana in Kannur this morning.
