THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has directed the health department to carry out vaccination in the state on all days including holidays. During the Covid review meeting, the directed that the vaccination should be carried out by giving priority to pregnant women and those with serious illnesses. He also directed the health department to ensure that there is no shortage of syringes.

The CM said that local bodies, ward committees and rapid response teams should be vigilant to take those with comorbidities to the hospital as soon as they become infected with Covid. The Chief Minister directed the health department and the health experts committee to study the case of 124 people from Mallappally contracting the disease even after receiving two doses of the vaccine.
