KOZHIKODE: BJP state president K Surendran said that the entire country is criticizing the Covid management in Kerala. He also said that the claim that Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had praised the Covid management in Kerala was a mere PR campaign.

"It is true that the Union Health Minister was not ready to publicly criticize the lapse in Covid management in Kerala. However, that does not mean that he has praised the state," Surendran said while delivering the keynote address at the inaugural function of the BJP Kozhikode District Committee Office.

"Covid is spreading in Kerala through unscientific measures. 55% of Covid cases in the country are in Kerala. The Union Minister did not say that Kerala's efforts were exemplary. He came to help Kerala prepare for the third wave. An additional amount of Rs 267 crore was provided for this," Surendran said.
