THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bindu said that her daughter Nimisha, who joined ISIS, should not be thrown into the hands of the Taliban. She said the Nimisha is guilty and be brought to India and punished according to the law of the land.

Bindu says she has never seen her granddaughter Ummukulsu and today she has turned five years old. Do not throw an innocent child into the hands of the Taliban. She also said that we all know what girls are experiencing under the Taliban regime.

''Nimisha is guilty. She has committed a grave crime against the country by joining IS .. She should be punished. Do not give her to Taliban. Let she be brought to India and punished according to the law here. Let she be locked up in any prison. But what wrong did that poor five-year-old child do ?'' Bindu asked in a media interview.

Bindu has approached the state and national child welfare committees for Ummukulsu. Nimisha Fathima was a dentist. Nimisha was seven months pregnant when she left the country with her husband in 2016 to join ISIS.
