THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Monday lashed out at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the legal advice that Minister Saseendran was not at fault for trying to settle the sexual harassment case. "Such a bizarre argument can be made only in Pinarayi Vijayan's dictionary. Trying to settle a sexual harassment case is tantamount to aiding sexual harassment," Chennithala said.
"As per Pinarayi Vijayan's dictionary, a move is being made to acquit a person who attempts to settle a sexual harassment case. This is unacceptable. Violence against women and children is on the rise in Kerala. By settling the minister's case, the government is promoting crimes instead of controlling them." Chennithala added.
He also alleged that the government had erred in distributing the Onam kit. "I had told the assembly through submission that only 25 percent people had received the kit. Then food minister said that the kit would be delivered to everyone before Onam. However, that the promise was not fulfilled," Chennithala said.
